A documented expansion changes how older projects are identified
Up Up Creative’s original family description describes a 2025 expansion into six weights with upright and italic styles. It says the earlier purchased design is now Regular. The publisher identifies Fifty Fifty as an editorial serif with smooth curves, standard and discretionary ligatures, character variants and stylistic sets. This gives an actual version distinction to preserve when reopening a project rather than assuming a newly expanded family has always had the same file names and contents.
Inspect ligatures as choices inside the headline
Set your complete editorial heading in the actual font, then compare the default rendering with optional ligatures enabled. Look at repeated letter combinations and the spaces around each replacement; do not choose a ligature merely because it is available. Compare upright and italic on the same short subheading while keeping the main title stable. For a monogram, retain a plain two-initial reference so decorative joining does not make either initial uncertain.
Keep old project attribution and new font selection clear
When updating older artwork, note the original font name and check the publisher’s Regular mapping before substituting another weight. Evaluate the actual resource and applicable usage terms. Playfair Display and Cormorant Garamond here are independently designed comparisons, not Fifty Fifty previews. Our copyable Unicode lettering styles substitute characters; they cannot reproduce this family’s original ligatures, italic forms or version-specific files.
