Choose a site-wide font pack
Open Site styles, then Fonts. Squarespace documents recommended packs and an All Font Packs option. Preview a pack and save it when it fits. Its guide distinguishes version 7.1 settings from version 7.0.
Inspect both headings and paragraphs before choosing a pack. One attractive title does not establish that the supporting text fits the same design.
Edit headings and paragraphs
Within Fonts, choose Headings, Paragraphs, Buttons or Miscellaneous to edit that category. The base size affects text scales across the site; category changes can affect all matching content.
Search the available font list when you need a specific family. Squarespace notes that its library does not include every Google Font.
Assign a narrower style
Squarespace documents Assign Styles for particular features. Select the feature and choose a category or custom styling, then save.
Before changing a broad category to solve one unusual label, identify whether an assigned feature style provides the intended scope. Record the selected family and style so a teammate can reproduce the choice.
Compare the complete page
Review a long heading, a paragraph, navigation and buttons in the same layout. Compare a narrow mobile view as well as the desktop design. These are editorial layout checks rather than a promise that a font pack automatically solves every page.
Explore the pairing chart and font family library for design background before choosing the final pair.
Your questions, answered.
Do these steps apply to every Squarespace version?
The source guide identifies these font controls as version 7.1 options. Version 7.0 has a different typography workflow.
Does a heading-category change affect only one heading?
Category settings can apply site-wide. Use the documented feature-style controls when a narrower change is intended.
