Lemon Tuesday: background and attribution

The creator’s Lemon Tuesday release credits Daria Kwon as designer and Ivan Gladkikh as art director. It first appeared in the directory in October 2016 as part of a libre-font project. Those individual credits are more informative than attributing every aspect of the design solely to the uploader’s account name.

Read the publisher’s family page for the source account and the edition currently offered. Keep a family name distinct from its particular release, width or optical branch.

02

Forms, styles and what to inspect

The listed OTF resource has a handwritten character and a preview for its available glyphs. The creator’s note permits use, sharing and modification within the project’s terms. Check the agreement in the original download when deciding how to redistribute or adapt the files.

Use the original publisher specimen to inspect those features. An alternative can share a broad role without having the same letter shapes, metrics or character coverage.

03

Try it in a real layout

Try a casual subheading and a brief handwritten note. Inspect repeated letters and punctuation at the final size, with a separate face for dense supporting text. Keep the actual names and accents in the sample instead of judging only a decorative English phrase.

For independent comparisons, try Kalam and Satisfy. Use the same wording and approximate output size. The related style guide provides broader design context.
