Kith Font: Broadacre City’s 2023 Collaboration Lettering

Brie Flewelling’s Broadacre City typeface account identifies a revival of hand-lettered exhibition didactics made by Frank Lloyd Wright and his Fellowship in the 1930s. She documents its use on merchandise in the Foundation’s 2023 KITH collaboration. Kith’s April 2023 announcement independently confirms that partnership. This is evidence for a specific collection, not an identification of Kith’s core box logo or every family used on its website. Record the collection and artifact before comparing lettering.

Flewelling describes many of the revived letterforms as using diagonals at 30 and 60 degrees. For your own separate CITY STUDY drawing, establish those guides and compare them with a version built on ordinary horizontal and vertical guides. Look at how the angle changes affect the word’s width and the gaps between letters. Keep the name legible before adding an architectural illustration. Do not claim your exercise reproduces the typeface: it is an independent study of a documented construction principle, not a tracing or a substitute original resource.

The designer places Broadacre City within the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation’s licensing program; its licensing page also records the April 2023 Kith collection. Neither citation makes the font an unrestricted public download. For a reference sheet, label the original collaboration image, the typeface source and your own drawing as separate objects. Add a plain caption for the model number and date rather than implying the display lettering supplies every informational role. The homepage’s copyable letter styles substitute Unicode characters; they do not reproduce Broadacre City’s designed outlines or the collection’s identity assets.
