Intro Rust: background and attribution
Ani Dimitrova, Radomir Tinkov and Svetoslav Simov developed Intro Rust as an expressive extension of Intro. Fontfabric records its July 2015 release. The collection combines distressed display lettering, scripts and decorative resources into a system intended for layered compositions.
Read the publisher’s family page for the source account and the edition currently offered. Keep a family name distinct from its particular release, width or optical branch.
Forms, styles and what to inspect
The complete collection’s 214 styles span Intro Head, Intro Rust, Intro Script Rust and Intro Goodies resources. This total describes multiple roles, not 214 simple weights. Individual subsets and free samples need to be distinguished from the complete commercial collection.
Use the original publisher specimen to inspect those features. An alternative can share a broad role without having the same letter shapes, metrics or character coverage.
Try it in a real layout
Build a poster with one distressed heading, one supporting script line and restrained decoration. Inspect the texture at the intended print size and keep key information away from damaged areas. Choose the subset actually needed before comparing package totals.
For independent comparisons, try Fredericka the Great and Special Elite. Use the same wording and approximate output size. The related style guide provides broader design context.
