Prepare and capture a template
Calligraphr’s first-font tutorial starts by choosing template character sets and downloading a template. Fill the printed cells, then scan or photograph the page with its four border markers visible.
Use clear samples and include the punctuation your actual wording needs. A minimal alphabet can be useful for a trial but is not automatically enough for every language or document.
Review recognized characters before building
The documented workflow uploads the template to My Fonts, adds the extracted characters and then builds the font. The resulting preview is the point to inspect the letters before downloading the resource.
Compare more than your initials. Try repeated letters, a date and a full sentence, looking for missing characters or poorly placed samples.
Understand repeated-letter variants
Calligraphr separately documents creating variants from additional templates and building a randomized result. Variants can produce different forms for repeated characters; they are not the same as simply drawing a larger character set.

Install and use the finished resource
After downloading, install the resource through the supported Windows or Mac workflow. The receiving application must support the actual font.
For existing designs with documented backgrounds, compare the handwriting collection. For editing outlines in a dedicated application, read the font-editor guide.
Your questions, answered.
Does typing my name here recreate my handwriting?
No. This guide explains a separate template-based creation workflow using your own samples.
Will the font work in every social-media text field?
Not necessarily. Many services use their own fonts. Installing a resource does not force an arbitrary text field to display it.
