The original studio describes the customized alphabet
Like Minded Studio’s own project account credits its collaboration with Bazmark on the film branding and a customized Deco display typeface. The studio describes a system combining solid and pinstriped characters in sequence, inspired by K. H. Schaefer’s alphabet designs. It separately credits Deva Studios with the final three-dimensional rendering. That distinction identifies the letter drawing and the rendering as different work, rather than calling every metallic Deco alphabet the film’s font.
Make solid and striped forms work as one word
For an original Deco event title, compose the full word in a single plain treatment first. Introduce striped variants deliberately and check whether the striped characters appear lighter than adjacent solid ones. Keep enough separation between the internal lines that the letters remain distinguishable at the final output size. Use a second clean composition for a small invitation or mobile heading rather than expecting fine pinstripes to survive every reduction.
Add depth after the alphabet reads clearly
Save an undecorated version before applying bevels, reflections or shadows. Judge the word’s spacing in that flat version, then inspect whether the added depth fills counters or joins neighbouring letters. Poiret One and Monoton are independent geometric and multiline display comparisons, not the Gatsby original. The homepage’s fancy copyable text styles produce Unicode substitutions; they do not export the custom movie alphabet or its three-dimensional artwork. Keep the 2013 film reference distinct from book covers and stage productions.
Your questions, answered.
What does the original studio say is special about the alphabet?
It describes a system combining solid and pinstriped characters, coordinated with the main film branding and inspired by K. H. Schaefer’s Deco alphabets.
Is a gold bevel the font itself?
No. The letterforms and their final three-dimensional rendering are separate components in the studio’s project account.
