Dinamo documents a customized marketplace system
Dinamo’s 2022 GOAT account identifies a customized ABC Diatype, designed by Renan Rosatti and Fabian Harb. It describes a straighter R leg, shorter Q tail, bespoke numerals, adjusted x-height and custom currency and punctuation. The source also records unusual variable behavior: heavier letters paired with lighter punctuation and the reverse. Separately, Jackson Tadeu Amaral’s GOAT project and Oliveira 37 listing describe a display face with fine sharp serifs, vertical elongation and references to Gothic architecture. These are distinct designs, not two releases of one family.
Build a product-card proof around actual numbers
For a marketplace-inspired typography exercise, assemble an original product card with a model name, release date, size and price. Keep the same data across comparisons and inspect the distinction between letters and digits. Check the currency mark and the space around punctuation rather than assessing the title alone. Add a second card with a longer name and a different price length. This tests the information hierarchy without copying GOAT’s branding or claiming that an independently selected font has its custom numeral shapes.
Inspect punctuation weight as a deliberate design relationship
Use Dinamo’s original project to study the documented relationship between letter weight and punctuation. For your own composition, compare a heading with a date, a colon-separated label and a price. Review the punctuation at the final display size alongside the full words; a mark that is conspicuous in an enlarged detail may behave differently in a compact card. Record the actual font and controls used. Ordinary font-weight changes in another family do not automatically reproduce GOAT’s custom variable behavior.
Evaluate the sharp-serif namesake as display typography
For Amaral’s separate GOAT, build a short original title on a plain background and check the fine projecting serifs at the intended size. Leave enough clearance at the edges and between stacked lines before adding decoration. Inter and Manrope are independent screen-layout comparisons; Cinzel is an independent pointed-serif display comparison. None previews either GOAT product or grants access to the marketplace’s custom files. Keep the creator and specific design role with the reference so a name search does not mix the custom sans system with the architectural display face.
Your questions, answered.
Is GOAT’s marketplace font simply the retail ABC Diatype?
Dinamo describes a customized Diatype with brand-specific letter, numeral, punctuation and variable behavior. The case study does not establish that the custom files are a general public release.
Is Jackson Amaral’s GOAT the same design used in Dinamo’s marketplace project?
No. Amaral’s publisher account describes a separate sharp-serif display font with Gothic architectural references.
