Filson Pro: background and attribution
Olivier Gourvat designed Filson Pro for Mostardesign, which lists its release in April 2016. Igino Marini is credited for spacing and kerning. The creator describes it as a geometric sans-serif system with distinctive K, Q and R forms, suited to both display and editorial work.
Read the publisher’s family page for the source account and the edition currently offered. Keep a family name distinct from its particular release, width or optical branch.
Forms, styles and what to inspect
The family includes Thin through Heavy resources and OpenType options for numerals, alternates and localized forms. Filson Soft is a related variation, not the same file with a software blur. Compare the exact family and package instead of assuming all Filson-branded resources are interchangeable.
Use the original publisher specimen to inspect those features. An alternative can share a broad role without having the same letter shapes, metrics or character coverage.
Try it in a real layout
Set a product title, a short paragraph and a numeric price line. Inspect the distinctive capitals in real words and compare lining or oldstyle numerals where supported. Keep the font and feature settings with the layout for consistent reuse.
For independent comparisons, try Manrope and Montserrat. Use the same wording and approximate output size. The related style guide provides broader design context.
