Discord Font Generator
Give your display name a different voice.
Compare bold, monospace-style, Gothic, small-cap, circled, and star-framed text for a Discord display name or short message. Copy a result and test it in the destination. For normal chat emphasis, Discord also offers native Markdown formatting, which works differently from these decorative character substitutions.

Letters outside a styleโs supported alphabet stay unchanged. Always test the result in the app where youโll use it.
Choose a readable display style
Type a short label or display name and compare the complete word. A striking letter is less useful if the rest of the name becomes difficult to recognize. Start with sans bold or monospace-style text before exploring the more elaborate options.
The Gothic generator focuses on two Fraktur-style alphabets; the small text tool explains its incomplete character coverage.
For chat emphasis, try Markdown first
Discordโs official formatting guide documents bold with two asterisks on each side, italic with one asterisk on each side, and code blocks using backticks. Those features format a message without replacing its ordinary letters. Read Discordโs Markdown guide.
For example, typing **hello** in a supported message context requests native bold formatting. Copying a bold Unicode preview instead inserts different characters. Choose based on the actual purpose of the message.
A display name is not a code editor
Do not convert commands, code, server addresses, or identifiers into decorative alphabets. Lookalike characters can change their meaning. Use ordinary text and appropriate native code formatting for technical material.
Our monospace-style tool is intended for a visual effect, not for preserving executable code. The bold generator is useful when comparing letter styles outside a formatted message.
Test the destination and keep a fallback
Paste a preview into the field you plan to use and check whether it accepts the characters. A display name, username, and message are different contexts, so do not assume one result will work everywhere. The tool cannot change Discordโs interface font or a serverโs naming rules.
Keep an ordinary version of your name available for recognition. For more background on why a copied style can look different on another device, read Unicode text versus real fonts.
Your questions, answered.
Is this a Discord app font changer?
No. It creates copyable decorative characters. It does not change the app interface, theme, or font settings.
Should I use Unicode for bold chat messages?
For ordinary emphasis in a supported message context, native Markdown is often the simpler choice. Use decorative Unicode when you specifically want character substitutions.
Will every result work in my username?
No guarantee. Test the actual destination field and follow the platformโs current naming rules.
