Cursive Font Generator
A flowing little flourish for your words.
Type a name or phrase to create cursive-style text you can copy and paste. Choose a light script, a bolder script, or an italic alternative. These results are Unicode characters, so you can try them in a display name, caption, or short greeting without installing a font.

Letters outside a styleโs supported alphabet stay unchanged. Always test the result in the app where youโll use it.
How to make cursive text
Enter your words in the box, compare the previews, and press Copy beside a style. Paste it into the destination app and check the result before saving. For a short signature-like label, start with your first name; for a caption, style one short phrase and leave the rest in ordinary text.
Capital letters can change the feel considerably. Compare โStay goldenโ with โSTAY GOLDENโ rather than assuming every script will suit both. If you want something less ornate, try the bold text generator.
A brief background: handwriting and digital script
Cursive handwriting has a history beyond social profiles. The Smithsonian describes how Spencerian penmanship offered personalization and embellishment, while round hand was taught using copybooks printed from engraved copper plates. Read the Smithsonian account.
This generator does not reproduce a historical handwriting system. Its script-like results borrow available Unicode letter shapes, rather than simulating a pen or connecting handwritten strokes. For the technical distinction, see our guide to Unicode text and fonts.
Where cursive styling works best
Try it for a short greeting, a decorative display name, or the opening words of a caption. Keep contact details and longer explanations in regular text. The more elaborate the lettering, the more useful a plain-text version becomes.
For a rounder mood, explore bubble letters.
What this tool can and cannot change
The tool converts supported Latin letters; punctuation, spaces, and unsupported characters stay unchanged. It does not install a font, change an appโs interface, or guarantee connected handwriting. Another device may draw the same character differently. Choose a real script typeface in a design app when you need exact joins, spacing, or a consistent printed result.
Your questions, answered.
Can I copy and paste the cursive results?
Yes. Use the Copy button, then paste into your chosen app. Whether the destination accepts and displays those characters depends on its rules and font support.
Why are some letters separate rather than joined?
These are individual Unicode characters. Joined cursive depends on font design and shaping, so this text generator cannot promise connected strokes.
Is this suitable for a formal signature?
Treat it as decorative text. It does not create a handwritten signature or provide identity verification.
