01

Identify the named editorial system rather than a universal yoga style

Xavier Dupré’s own account presents FF Yoga as a newspaper-and-magazine system developed across 2009–2015. He describes sturdy serifs and blackletter-inspired chiseled counters alongside Garalde rhythm and roundness; Yoga Sans supplies the companion sans. These are documented construction choices in a named family, not evidence that yoga-related communication requires one particular visual style.

02

Test serif and sans roles in a two-page studio journal

Build an original STUDIO JOURNAL opener with a large title, a short introductory paragraph and a timetable on the facing page. Compare the serif title with the sans title while leaving the body text unchanged, then test the opposite body treatment. Look at the counters in repeated letters and the change in overall texture between heading and paragraph. Follow the creator’s resource for the actual family and edition; do not infer a current package count from an older specimen or a retailer’s abbreviated style list.

03

Separate text typography from illustrated poses

A different resource, Outside the Line’s Yoga Studio, contains illustrated poses and their reverse versions, plus OM and lotus graphics. That is not FF Yoga’s alphabet. Use any illustration as a separately labeled asset, with an appropriately qualified instructor checking instructional content. Lora and Source Sans 3 here are independent text comparisons. Our homepage text styling choices replace Unicode characters; they do not provide either original family’s outlines or turn text into pose illustrations.

GOOD QUESTIONS

Your questions, answered.

Is FF Yoga a font made of yoga-pose pictures?

No. This guide distinguishes Dupré’s serif-and-sans text system from the separate Yoga Studio illustration resource.

Should a yoga studio always use FF Yoga?

No. A shared name does not establish a required style. Choose a text treatment for the actual journal, timetable or other communication task.
