Whyte: background and attribution
Dinamo credits Fabian Harb and Johannes Breyer, with Erkin Karamemet and Fabiola Mejía, for Whyte’s design. Igino Marini is credited for spacing and kerning. Its Inktrap branch turns a historical printing adjustment into a prominent contemporary design detail rather than reproducing a specific piece of metal type.

Forms, styles and what to inspect
The current collection distinguishes standard and Inktrap treatments alongside proportional, Semi Mono and Mono choices. The publisher describes variable control of the cuts at the joints. Compare those controls in the correct resource; an Inktrap label is not merely a heavier weight.
Use the original publisher specimen to inspect those features. An alternative can share a broad role without having the same letter shapes, metrics or character coverage.
Try it in a real layout
Set a short heading and a smaller interface label. Compare the joint details at both scales and decide whether their presence supports the layout. Choose spacing behavior deliberately for numeric rows and document the exact variant and variable settings.
For independent comparisons, try Inter and DM Sans. Use the same wording and approximate output size. The related style guide provides broader design context.
