TT Fors: background and attribution
TT Fors is TypeType’s contemporary response to geometric sans serifs of the early and middle twentieth century. The publisher describes a growing system of basic, display and condensed options rather than a direct revival of a single earlier font.
Read the publisher’s family page for the source account and the edition currently offered. Keep a family name distinct from its particular release, width or optical branch.
Forms, styles and what to inspect
Round characters approach circular geometry while other letters use narrower proportions. The Display branch introduces higher contrast, so it should not be assumed to look identical to the base design at another weight. Inspect the variable controls available in your particular branch.
Use the original publisher specimen to inspect those features. An alternative can share a broad role without having the same letter shapes, metrics or character coverage.
Try it in a real layout
Try a circular-letter-heavy title and a contrasting paragraph containing narrow letters. Compare their apparent scale before deciding on a heading/body ratio. Poppins and Jost supply independent geometric comparisons, each with its own historical references and script coverage.
For independent comparisons, try Poppins and Jost. Use the same wording and approximate output size. The related style guide provides broader design context.
