Martin Vácha designed Tobias, with spacing and kerning credited to Igino Marini. Displaay dates its release to January 2019 and documents a March 2026 update. The family explores a serif direction with baroque and transitional references, alongside the foundry’s Teodor and Reckless designs.

Diagonal stress, a relatively high x-height and abrupt arch-to-stem connections distinguish the design. Drop-shaped terminals, ear details and alternate serif treatments provide further points to inspect. The current family lists eight weights with italics and variable weight and slant axes.
