Identify the established wordmark reference before choosing a project
The 2019 brand book hosted on The North Face Training Academy labels the wordmark typeface Helvetica Bold and describes its icon as a stylized Half Dome representation. In a 2021 interview, Monotype’s Terrance Weinzierl also names North Face among brands whose logos use Helvetica. These dated references answer a different question from the typography of a particular campaign; they do not establish that every current interface or product graphic uses one identical file.
Compare a compact lockup without distorting the letters
For an original outdoor club identity, arrange a short name beside an independent geometric symbol. Compare a two-line and a three-line name at the same overall width, then inspect the left edges and the space between the lettering and the symbol. Change line breaks or scale before stretching individual characters. Test the complete lockup on a small badge as well as a large poster: both the word gaps and the symbol need room at the smaller size. Inter is an independent sans comparison, not a rendering of the brand wordmark.
Keep the Climb Festival lettering in its actual event context
WØRKS’ Climb Festival project identifies custom logotype lettering inspired by climbing tape and supporting Editorial New typography. This is a documented event identity, not a replacement attribution for the established corporate mark. In an original climbing-event heading, compare a tape-inspired construction with a plain title using the same wording; retain a separate readable date and location. Archivo Black offers an independent heavy display comparison. The homepage decorative text converter uses Unicode substitutions rather than supplying Helvetica or the festival’s custom lettering.
Your questions, answered.
Which typeface do the cited wordmark references identify?
The dated brand book names Helvetica Bold, and the Monotype interview identifies the logo with Helvetica. These references do not claim a single font for every application.
Is the Climb Festival lettering the same resource as the wordmark?
The creator presents it as a separate custom event logotype. Keep the project name beside the attribution instead of transferring it to all brand lettering.
