Tanker: background and attribution
Ruosi Huang designed Tanker as a single-weight condensed sans with capital forms on both uppercase and lowercase input positions. Those two sets supply deliberately different letter designs.
Read the publisher’s family page for the source account and the edition currently offered. Keep a family name distinct from its particular release, width or optical branch.
Forms, styles and what to inspect
The source describes rounded corners and an additional numeral set through an OpenType feature. Lowercase input is not a promise of conventional lowercase proportions.
Use the original publisher specimen to inspect those features. An alternative can share a broad role without having the same letter shapes, metrics or character coverage.
Try it in a real layout
Try the same short title with upper- and lowercase input at the official preview. Compare the resulting capital shapes and avoid planning hierarchy around ordinary mixed-case assumptions.
For independent comparisons, try Bebas Neue and Squada One. Use the same wording and approximate output size. The related style guide provides broader design context.
