Tom Robin Karlsson presented Schabo Condensed in a November 2022 creator project as a typeface for display typography. His release statement offers it for personal and commercial use. Schabo X Condensed is a later, separately named project, so identify the resource rather than assuming every condensed edition is identical.
Read the publisher’s family page for the source account and the edition currently offered. Keep a family name distinct from its particular release, width or optical branch.
Forms, styles and what to inspect
The creator project lists OTF, WOFF and WOFF2 resources. Compare Schabo’s condensed proportions in the original specimen and inspect the actual glyph set needed for a title. Desktop and web file formats serve different workflows, even when they belong to the same named design.
Use the original publisher specimen to inspect those features. An alternative can share a broad role without having the same letter shapes, metrics or character coverage.
Try it in a real layout
Try a short vertical-poster headline and a small supporting line. Keep the font size fixed while comparing line arrangements, then inspect letter spacing and counters at the final output size. Use a purpose-drawn condensed face for the narrow role rather than compressing an unrelated font.
