Identify the Persian display family before selecting a file

NoonFont’s Radical is a display family by Mehrdad Notash. The publisher lists Persian, Arabic and Kurdish support, Persian numerals and nine weights from Thin through Black. Its construction concentrates unusually thick letter bodies near the main writing line while strokes become freer away from it. This guide concerns that particular family, rather than every product using the name Radical.

02

Test baseline density with a real right-to-left headline

Ask a fluent reader to supply a short approved headline and a second line containing the intended numerals. In an application that supports the required script shaping, compare Regular, Bold and Black at the same size and width. Examine the dark mass along the baseline separately from dots and spaces around it. Choose the weight using the final wording; an isolated letter cannot show the effect of the joined word. Keep the explanatory caption in a quieter companion face.

03

Separate the display package from the equation-editor resource

NoonFont distinguishes a nine-weight Pro package from a two-weight Eco package, so check the selected edition rather than assuming every download includes the whole family. The unrelated Radical Pie font is a built-in mathematical-symbol resource, not an installed TrueType or OpenType family. For a brief social caption, our copyable character styles substitute Unicode characters; they do not reproduce Radical’s outlines or replace a Persian shaping workflow.

GOOD QUESTIONS

Your questions, answered.

Is Radical a Persian font or a math-symbol font?

The name is used for different resources. This guide centers on NoonFont’s display family and separately identifies Radical Pie’s built-in mathematical font.

Does the on-site sample provide the original Radical font?

No. Follow NoonFont for the original family specimen and edition details. A normal text sample or Unicode conversion does not supply its font outlines.
