Prototype: background and attribution
Justin Callaghan’s Prototype is presented on Mickey Avenue as an original font based on theme-park signage. The creator connects its reference with Epcot and other park settings. Mickey Avenue explicitly identifies itself as unaffiliated with Disney, so Prototype should not be described as an official Disney font distribution.
Read the publisher’s family page for the source account and the edition currently offered. Keep a family name distinct from its particular release, width or optical branch.
Forms, styles and what to inspect
The creator’s version 2.0 page describes capitals, lowercase, punctuation, numbers, symbols and international characters. Use the actual specimen for the selected edition before identifying a matching word. A visual relationship to signage does not establish that every sign uses the same outlines or that a font recreates custom modifications.
Use the original publisher specimen to inspect those features. An alternative can share a broad role without having the same letter shapes, metrics or character coverage.
Try it in a real layout
For a fictional futuristic exhibit, compare a short destination label, a directional word and a numerical identifier. Keep supporting copy clear and resist stretching the letters to match an unrelated logo. Record the creator and edition in your reference notes so the design can be reproduced without confusing an inspired font with the original source lettering.
For independent comparisons, try Michroma and Russo One. Use the same wording and approximate output size. The related style guide provides broader design context.
