Match the identity version before choosing a font
Pepsi packaging and advertising have changed over time. A wordmark on an older can may not match the version in a recent campaign, so keep the date and market with your reference. Separate the letters inside the globe from supporting product descriptions and promotional text. A single familiar brand name does not establish one unchanging typeface across all of those applications.
What PepsiCo announced in 2023
PepsiCo’s March 2023 announcement describes the first update to the Pepsi globe in fourteen years and a modern custom typeface. Its design case study explains the reunion of globe and wordmark, with electric blue, black and a moving pulse motif. These elements were conceived as a connected physical and digital system. The announcement scheduled North American introduction for 2023 and global rollout for 2024.
Pepsi and PepsiCo are different references
PepsiCo’s later corporate-brand case study describes a separate custom lowercase face intended to feel approachable. That corporate identity represents the wider company, while the Pepsi product redesign uses a different brief. Avoid merging the two when answering a font-identification question. The word visible in the reference, its capitalization and the surrounding identity help determine which project is relevant.
Plan an independent drinks poster
Compare Anton, Montserrat and Oswald for a short original headline. Place flavor, volume and event details in consistent supporting positions. Choose one strong typographic contrast before adding animation or layered color. These existing specimens are independent design options, not Pepsi fonts. For a can mockup, inspect the full name on a curved surface as well as a flat artwork panel.
