01

Omnes: background and attribution

Joshua Darden designed Omnes, with a broader team contributing development and later expansion. The publisher explains that it began as a national retail brand typeface and sought selective rounding without an overly inflated appearance. Its historical references include rounded nineteenth-century grotesques.

Read the publisher’s family page for the source account and the edition currently offered. Keep a family name distinct from its particular release, width or optical branch.

02

Forms, styles and what to inspect

The family account describes editorial resources including tabular figures, fractions, index characters and stylistic sets. Inspect the features in the actual release and application. Rounded ends alone do not establish geometric construction or identical widths across unrelated families.

Use the original publisher specimen to inspect those features. An alternative can share a broad role without having the same letter shapes, metrics or character coverage.

03

Try it in a real layout

For an information layout, compare a title, a price table and a paragraph. Quicksand and Nunito provide independently designed rounded sans comparisons. Test the required punctuation and table figures rather than choosing solely from the shape of one capital.

For independent comparisons, try Quicksand and Nunito. Use the same wording and approximate output size. The related style guide provides broader design context.
