01

The name can identify different resources

A family name is not always unique across publishers. Begin with the device, application and source of the sample. If the text is inside an editable document, record its exact family and style rather than guessing from a screenshot. Noteworthy’s Apple context and Gerald Gallo’s separately published display design should not be silently treated as the same font.

02

Apple documents Light and Bold styles

Apple’s News Format font documentation lists Noteworthy Light and Noteworthy Bold with their respective resource names. That is evidence for the named Apple resource and styles in that documented environment. It is not a designer-attribution history or a promise that every device and every app exposes those resources in the same way. Follow the documentation for the actual destination.

03

Gerald Gallo’s Noteworthy has a different brief

The publisher’s catalog describes Gallo’s Noteworthy as an all-capitals, bold contemporary sans serif suited to headlines, titles and short text. Its catalog lists one style. Compare that stated construction with the intended sample before following a download result. A same-name listing may be legitimate while still being the wrong family for the document you are trying to reproduce.

04

Keep the identified choice in the handoff

For an original note-style title, compare Patrick Hand and Kalam as separately attributed alternatives. They are not copies of either Noteworthy resource. Include the real title and punctuation at final size, then keep supporting information plain. Save the publisher, family and style with your project so a teammate does not obtain an unrelated design simply by searching the name.
