Morganite: background and attribution
Rajesh Rajput published the original Morganite project in June 2018. The creator describes an eighteen-style typeface with free personal and commercial use. His March 2024 announcement introduces Morganite Pro as a revision, so the original free family and later Pro offering should remain clearly distinguished.
Read the publisher’s family page for the source account and the edition currently offered. Keep a family name distinct from its particular release, width or optical branch.
Forms, styles and what to inspect
The creator’s Pro announcement describes revised characters, a variable option and expanded script support, with only its Regular weight offered free. Do not transfer the original family’s whole-collection free offer to every Pro style. Keep the edition and package terms with the selected files.
Use the original publisher specimen to inspect those features. An alternative can share a broad role without having the same letter shapes, metrics or character coverage.
Try it in a real layout
Compare a tall heading in the original family with the corresponding Pro choice if available. Inspect line breaks and spacing instead of assuming an upgraded version preserves every metric. Record the exact edition in the layout notes and use a calmer reading face for longer content.
For independent comparisons, try Bebas Neue and Antonio. Use the same wording and approximate output size. The related style guide provides broader design context.
