Two Moderna names do not identify one font package
Los Andes’ publisher listing credits Mendoza Vergara and describes a Modernism-inspired sans family for short text, headlines and branding. It lists Light, Medium, Bold and Black with italic companions in standard and unicase branches, totaling sixteen styles, with alternates, arrows and labels.
A separate Fontalicious author listing also uses the name Moderna. Its author note distinguishes personal use from commercial licensing. Do not transfer either product’s design credits, resources or terms to the other merely because their displayed names match.
Compare a standard heading with the unicase branch
Choose an original two-word project name containing both rounded and straight letters. Set it in the standard branch and then the named unicase branch using the publisher tester or authentic installed files. Keep size and available width unchanged. Judge whether the different letter choices suit that particular name rather than treating unicase as a universal replacement for normal capitalization.
Then compare a descriptive line containing punctuation and digits. Record the exact branch, weight and any alternate choice. If a logo concept depends on one alternate form, include that detail in your handoff instead of leaving the next designer to infer it.
Assign supporting copy a separate job
Use the display treatment for the project name and reserve a quieter style for an address, date or explanatory paragraph. Inspect the longest line at the smallest intended output size; a successful isolated wordmark does not automatically make a good paragraph style.
The Montserrat and Fredoka previews are independent comparisons, not Moderna renderers. For a short username treatment, the homepage Unicode lettering tool is a separate copy-and-paste workflow. It does not install either named Moderna family or preserve a chosen unicase font file in another app.
Your questions, answered.
Is Los Andes Moderna the same font as Fontalicious Moderna?
No. The source accounts identify different publishers and resources. Check the creator and exact package before comparing or licensing them.
Do the local specimens show the standard or unicase Moderna styles?
Neither. They are independently named comparison fonts; the original publisher source is the reference for the Moderna branches.
