01

Wolff Olins documents Bower’s creation

Wolff Olins’ original McKinsey project account names Bower as a typeface developed with typographer Radim Pesko. The name honors McKinsey partner Marvin Bower. The agency dates the global launch of the identity to February 2019 onward. This is a documented identity commission, not a retail-font guess based solely on a screenshot of the company’s website.

02

The typography belonged to a broader communication system

The creator connects the identity with partnership, a modernized logo, an animated mark, data visualization and photography. A font is one part of that system. Its name alone cannot identify every diagram, presentation or finished wordmark.

03

Make an independent research presentation useful

For an original research deck, prepare a descriptive slide title, a short finding and one chart with clear labels. Give the main finding room without making the chart’s units or source difficult to read. Keep supporting text in sentence case and reserve emphasis for the relationship you want the audience to notice. An authoritative-looking family cannot compensate for an ambiguous chart title.

04

Compare reading and numerical roles separately

Source Serif 4, Lora and Inter are independent specimens, not Bower downloads. Compare a research heading, a paragraph and a complete table before choosing a pairing. Use consistent numeric alignment and explain abbreviations close to where they occur. Keep the selected family and weights recorded so collaborators can update the material without silently changing the visual hierarchy.
