Loubag: background and attribution

Loubag is Kadek Mahardika’s family published by Creativemedialab. Its source describes combining modern sans serif and serif ideas with a retro direction. The family offers named weights and a variable resource, so a reference should identify the particular style or file rather than just the family title.

Read the publisher’s family page for the source account and the edition currently offered. Keep a family name distinct from its particular release, width or optical branch.

02

Forms, styles and what to inspect

Inspect the alternate letters through the original specimen or your application’s glyph controls. Compare light and heavy wording independently from the alternate selection. A variable option supplies adjustable font behavior in compatible software; it does not make ordinary copied text carry the design to another application.

Use the original publisher specimen to inspect those features. An alternative can share a broad role without having the same letter shapes, metrics or character coverage.

03

Try it in a real layout

Try a magazine heading, short packaging title and small supporting label. Keep the wording fixed while comparing weights and alternates. Evaluate the smallest output before choosing delicate details for essential information.

For independent comparisons, try Belleza and DM Serif Display. Use the same wording and approximate output size. The related style guide provides broader design context.
