Identify Abedi’s Liana before choosing a package
NoonFont records the release in February 2024. NoonFont describes Abedi’s design as a softly structured, handwriting-like sans with an approximately 6.5-degree slant. It lists Persian, Arabic and Kurdish support. ParaType instead credits Natalia Vasilyeva with a 1998 TypeMarket design based on Lainie. These are separate family accounts, not different weights of one font. Start with the linked NoonFont specimen and confirm the exact package name. Do not use an unrelated Liana download to infer the glyphs, files or permissions of Abedi’s release.
Compare the text and display branches in one layout
The publisher assigns Sans to text and Soft to larger display use. Create a small notice with a short heading and two lines of your real paragraph text. Compare the heading in Soft and Sans while keeping the paragraph in the same selected Sans style. Judge the full notice at its final size, especially the internal spaces of heavier letters. Pick the branch for its role in the composition rather than assuming that the softer treatment belongs everywhere.
Proof the actual script, numbers and punctuation
Try the sample “یادداشت امروز ۱۴۰۵,” then replace it with the project’s approved wording. Add the real date, punctuation and any Latin product name that the layout must contain. Check the output in the intended application, including the direction and placement of each mixed-script element. Compare a screen export with a print when both will be used. Keep this as a font-selection exercise: installing a family does not translate a phrase, establish its spelling or choose the correct numeral convention for your audience.
Distinguish package contents from license scope
NoonFont lists Pro, Standard and Eco packages with different style selections; Pro additionally includes weight-variable files for Sans and Soft. Choose the styles you need before selecting the usage license, and confirm both parts of the order. A smaller package may be sufficient for a regular-and-bold notice, while a variable-weight project needs the corresponding supplied files. Record the selected branch, package and style with the editable layout. Preserve a final proof to detect substitutions when another application or collaborator opens the project.
Your questions, answered.
Is NoonFont Liana the same as ParaType Liana?
They are separately credited designs. Keep the creator and publisher with the file reference instead of transferring features or permissions between them.
Does every Liana package include variable fonts?
The reviewed NoonFont page lists weight-variable Sans and Soft files in Pro. Standard and Eco have smaller listed selections, so check the actual package before planning variable controls.
