Identify the current EI resources on LG’s own typography page
The LG brand typography page names LG EI Headline and LG EI Text. It describes geometric outer construction, rounded inner edges and handwriting-inspired strokes. Keep those names separate from the LG logo artwork and from a device’s available user font settings. This is a brand typography reference, not a tool for replacing a television or phone’s system font.
Assign headline and reading text to different roles
LG presents EI Headline for campaign titles and high-visibility display work and EI Text for body and interface reading. It connects Headline to the LG Smart legacy and describes Text as replacing LG Smart UI. Make a reference sheet with a headline, supporting paragraph and interface label, recording the actual selected resource for each. Do not interpret the two resource names as proof that the entire system contains only two weights.
Compare the complete title and supporting text
For an unrelated independent study, compare one geometric heading with a quieter reading face. Inspect both at the final size, including numerals, punctuation and the longest label. Keep the comparison font names visible and consult the original LG resource for a brand assignment and its applicable asset conditions. Jost and Inter here are independent specimens. The homepage’s portable Unicode styles substitute characters; they do not provide LG EI software, replace its outlines or create an approved LG wordmark.
Your questions, answered.
Are EI Headline and EI Text just two weight names?
The official page gives them different display and reading roles and separately shows weight variations. Record the actual resource and weight.
Does the brand page change the font on my LG device?
No. This guide identifies brand typography. Device font controls and application settings are separate workflows.
