League of Legends Fonts: Beaufort, Spiegel and Assets

Find Riot’s Beaufort for LoL and Spiegel resources, separate typography from logo packages, and compare original title, stat-label and paragraph layouts.

League of Legends has an official typography resource, separate from its logo artwork. Start with the named files and the particular asset you need rather than treating a fan-font match as proof of every interface, language or historical logo.

01

Find Beaufort for LoL and Spiegel in Riot’s own resources

The official League of Legends downloads page lists Beaufort for LoL and Spiegel typography packages in OTF and TTF formats. It lists logo packages in a separate section. Beaufort’s designer Nick Shinn also discusses League of Legends using the family in his firsthand career account, describing its sharp small serifs in a fantasy setting. The separate Beaufort family guide covers Shinntype’s retail resources; do not assume every retail branch is identical to Riot’s named package.

02

Compare a title, a stat label and an explanatory paragraph

For an original game-information layout, write a long heading, a short category label, a number with its unit and a complete explanatory sentence. Compare the serif display treatment separately from the smaller reading text; a dramatic isolated title cannot establish how an entire panel will read. Check repeated labels at the narrowest panel width and keep the text editable while deciding the hierarchy. If reproducing a specific documented reference, note its release and language rather than replacing that evidence with a general game-font claim.

03

Keep logo artwork and font files in different parts of the handoff

Record whether a resource is typography, a rendered logo or another graphic asset before placing it in a project. Obtain the relevant original files and terms from Riot’s resource page; availability there does not establish unrestricted use or permission to redistribute the files. Cinzel and Source Sans 3 are independent fantasy-display and reading comparisons here, not Beaufort for LoL or Spiegel previews. For copyable game-profile wording, the Unicode font-style tool on our homepage changes characters rather than installing these fonts or reproducing the League logo.

GOOD QUESTIONS

Your questions, answered.

Which font names appear in the official League resources?

Riot’s downloads page lists Beaufort for LoL and Spiegel under typography assets, separately from its logo packages.

Is the retail Beaufort family automatically identical to Beaufort for LoL?

Treat them as separately identified resources. Use Riot’s named package for its supplied asset and Shinntype’s publisher information for the retail family and branches.
