Use the platform’s own named resource record
Apple’s macOS Tahoe font inventory lists Krungthep 14.0d1e1 among installed or downloadable typefaces. The inventory explains that some entries require a Font Book download and that future updates may change the list. This documents a particular platform’s resource; it does not identify a separate Bold or Italic family or establish a designer credit. Record the exact menu selection and platform when documenting an existing file.
Proof Thai text as text, including its marks
The W3C’s April 2024 Thai layout draft explains that Thai runs horizontally left to right, with spaces generally separating phrases and vowel components occupying different positions around consonants. Treat that as script background, not a guarantee about one font’s implementation. For an original title, keep the actual wording intact and compare complete syllables, above- and below-base marks, punctuation and Thai numerals where required. Ask a fluent reader to review the final wording and arrangement rather than judging unfamiliar shapes only as decoration.
Keep an alternative’s identity visible in a mixed-script layout
Compare a Thai title, a Latin-script name and a short numeric line in the intended output application. Leave enough vertical space to inspect marks and avoid clipping; changing only the Latin sample cannot establish that the Thai setting works. Kanit and Prompt are independently named comparisons, not Krungthep editions or identical replacements. The homepage copyable Unicode style generator transforms supported characters; it does not install Krungthep or guarantee a Thai-script restyling.
Your questions, answered.
Does Apple’s listing mean every device has Krungthep?
No. It documents a specific macOS inventory. Check the actual recipient environment for an editable handoff.
Can a Latin-only preview establish the quality of a Thai heading?
No. Use the actual Thai text, including its marks and punctuation, in the intended application.
