The Lens brand book identifies its supporting family
The 2019 KODAK Lens brand book names Graphik for the Lens communication system, with Light, Medium, Semibold and Bold shown in its type specification. It directs readers to Commercial Type for purchase. The book distinguishes the Kodak logo from category text, tagline and ordinary copy; its category-block guidance uses Graphik Semibold. These are documented instructions for that dated Lens identity, not proof that the red Kodak mark was simply typed in Graphik or that every Kodak business uses this same current system.
Separate identity, category and product information in a study
Make a three-part outline before selecting a font: the identity asset, a category label and a product explanation. In a historical analysis, annotate which part each reference shows instead of calling every visible word “the logo.” For your own product-information design, make the category easy to find and give the explanation enough uninterrupted width for a short sentence. Avoid letting a large brand-like title push the useful product details into a narrow decorative column.
Compare supporting text with independent specimens
Try Inter and Manrope with the same category label and two-line explanation. Keep size, width and wording constant so you can compare the effect of spacing and weight without implying either face is Graphik. For an authorized identity project, follow the relevant supplied artwork and applicable manual rather than reconstructing a trademark from these previews. The copyable Unicode styles on our homepage are a separate caption experiment and do not provide the original logo or install the specified commercial family.
The Canon lettering guide examines a different photographic brand’s documented wordmark history. It helps distinguish logo construction from the supporting typography discussed here.
Your questions, answered.
Is Graphik identified as the Kodak logo font?
The cited book identifies it as the KODAK Lens supporting communication family. That is different from identifying the construction of the Kodak logo artwork.
Does the 2019 book establish every current Kodak font?
No. Its date and Lens application are part of the evidence. Other products, businesses or newer identity systems need their own documentation.
