Separate the 2013 custom design from other eras
In designboom’s interview with Nike football creative director Todd Van Horne, the 2013 uniform project connects sharp edges and fast lines to the jaguar concept. The account identifies bespoke lettering for player names and numbers, not a named retail font. That establishes a particular Nike-era project; it does not identify a universal Jaguars font, the team’s logo artwork or a public download.
Use the team archive to identify your reference
The Jaguars’ own uniform history, updated October 2024, separates the 2013–17 uniforms from the simpler 2018–24 set. It also identifies the 2024 Prowler Throwbacks as based on the 1998–2008 uniform, with vintage three-color numbers. For a comparison sheet, put the year range directly beneath each reference. Record the number’s shape separately from its fill and outline colors; recoloring one design does not make it another era’s lettering.
Test number outlines without claiming an official font
Create an independent number study using 28, 11 and 88 in Graduate or Anton. Make a single-color version first, then a version with two contrasting outline bands. Reduce both to the size of a small roster card and inspect the gaps inside 8 and between the two 1s. Keep the era reference in a separate labeled panel. These local comparison families are not the Jaguars’ custom originals. The jersey-font guide helps organize names versus numbers; the homepage text stylers produce supported Unicode characters rather than installing team lettering or reproducing outlined jersey numerals.
Your questions, answered.
What is the Jaguars’ 2013 jersey font called?
The original design-process account describes bespoke player-name and number lettering but does not supply a retail family name.
Do the 2024 Prowler Throwbacks use the 2013 design?
The team’s archive says the throwbacks are based on the 1998–2008 uniform. Keep that reference separate from the 2013–17 design.
