IvyPresto: background and attribution
Ivy Foundry’s IvyPresto is credited to Jan Maack. Adobe’s Display account relates the family to Hendrik van den Keere’s work and identifies an old-style or Garalde direction. Its source describes a 2020 project account; the linked specimen is a specific display branch within the family.
Read the publisher’s family page for the source account and the edition currently offered. Keep a family name distinct from its particular release, width or optical branch.
Forms, styles and what to inspect
The source highlights relatively large lowercase proportions, narrow forms and thin serif details. Optical branches are designed for different use conditions; a display file enlarged or reduced mechanically is not necessarily the same as a purpose-built companion.
Use the original publisher specimen to inspect those features. An alternative can share a broad role without having the same letter shapes, metrics or character coverage.
Try it in a real layout
Try an editorial title and a short quotation at the actual display size. Playfair Display and Cormorant Garamond offer independent serif comparisons. Inspect fine strokes in the exported layout and keep long supporting text in an appropriate text role.
For independent comparisons, try Playfair Display and Cormorant Garamond. Use the same wording and approximate output size. The related style guide provides broader design context.
Official preview and font resources

The editable alternatives here have their own source profiles and included licenses. For the difference between a font file and copied characters, read Unicode text versus fonts.
