Indivisible: background and attribution
Process Type Foundry’s specimen credits Eric Olson with Indivisible’s design and production and records its release in May 2019. The family offers coordinated upright and italic resources. Its specifications provide a useful basis for comparing a contemporary sans-serif across headings, figures and everyday text.
Read the publisher’s family page for the source account and the edition currently offered. Keep a family name distinct from its particular release, width or optical branch.
Forms, styles and what to inspect
The family has seven weights from Thin to Black, with italics for each. The specifications also list separate upright and italic variable files with a weight axis, alongside case-sensitive forms, tabular lining numerals and prebuilt fractions. Those numerals can help figures align without turning the entire font into a monospaced design.
Use the original publisher specimen to inspect those features. An alternative can share a broad role without having the same letter shapes, metrics or character coverage.
Try it in a real layout
Build a small information panel containing a heading, a paragraph and a price column. Compare regular and medium text at reading size, then inspect aligned figures with tabular numerals enabled. Select italic resources explicitly and keep the text wording fixed while comparing weights.
For independent comparisons, try Inter and Source Sans 3. Use the same wording and approximate output size. The related style guide provides broader design context.
