Heading Now: background and attribution
Zetafonts presents Heading Now as a development of Francesco Canovaro’s Heading Pro. Earlier documentation describes a 160-combination system, while the current foundry collection lists an expanded inventory with variable resources. The edition matters when reporting the family’s scope.
Read the publisher’s family page for the source account and the edition currently offered. Keep a family name distinct from its particular release, width or optical branch.
Forms, styles and what to inspect
The system covers many widths, from highly compressed to very broad, alongside weight and italic choices. The creator’s directory release is a personal-use trial. A trial archive’s file count should not be treated as the inventory or terms of the complete commercial release.
Use the original publisher specimen to inspect those features. An alternative can share a broad role without having the same letter shapes, metrics or character coverage.
Try it in a real layout
Compare a narrow poster column and a wide banner using the same wording. Choose a drawn width before squeezing the text artificially. Record the release, width and weight so another editor can reproduce the intended headline.
For independent comparisons, try Antonio and Roboto Condensed. Use the same wording and approximate output size. The related style guide provides broader design context.
