Find the documented Tsukushi Mincho use in Gundam Unicorn RE:0096, explore its print-oriented design and compare title cards with technical labels.

A Gundam model-kit label, a franchise logo and an anime credit card can use different lettering. This guide covers a documented Japanese television example: Tsukushi Mincho in Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn RE:0096, with a practical way to assess that text role.

01

The publisher identifies a specific television use

The original Fontworks case names Tsukushi Mincho for subtitles, opening and ending text in Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn RE:0096, the television production beginning in April 2016. It identifies a family, without specifying a weight for every line. Keep that production title with the attribution. This record does not name the typeface of every Gundam logo, robot marking, model-kit package or translated release. For a reference sheet, save the complete credit or episode-title frame and its language rather than an isolated letter.

02

Tsukushi Mincho brings print-oriented rhythm to the comparison

The original Tsukushi Mincho description credits Shigenobu Fujita and describes a long-text Mincho drawing informed by metal and phototypesetting traditions. It preserves differences in internal space and expansive stroke quality rather than making every character equally open. When comparing the actual family, include a full Japanese phrase and its punctuation in the publisher specimen. Keep the weight and glyph specification in your notes; a family credit does not mean that any one default font-menu selection reproduces the screen reference.

03

Separate a Japanese title card from technical labeling

For an independent science-fiction booklet, proof one Japanese title line, a short translated explanation and a model identifier as separate text roles. Give the identifier enough room for letters, digits and hyphens instead of forcing the narrative text into the same condensed treatment. Compare the title card and booklet page at their own intended sizes. Noto Serif Display and Source Serif 4 below are independent Latin serif comparisons, not Japanese Tsukushi Mincho previews. The copyable font-style tool creates Unicode substitutions; it does not translate Japanese, install this family or generate Gundam production assets.

GOOD QUESTIONS

Your questions, answered.

Which Gundam production does this font identification cover?

Fontworks identifies Tsukushi Mincho for text roles in the 2016 television production Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn RE:0096.

Is Tsukushi Mincho the font of every Gundam logo?

The cited case does not establish that. It records specific television text use, not every franchise logo or product label.
