Good Times: background and attribution
Good Times is Typodermic’s broad geometric display family, first released in 1998. Its rounded, horizontally extended capitals suit short names and badge-like labels. The publisher distinguishes it from Good Timing, a separate mixed-case relative.
Read the publisher’s family page for the source account and the edition currently offered. Keep a family name distinct from its particular release, width or optical branch.
Forms, styles and what to inspect
The all-capital design has a strong horizontal rhythm. Test number-and-letter model names, especially characters that could be confused at a distance. Lowercase input should not be assumed to produce a reading-oriented lowercase design merely because an application accepts the characters.
Use the original publisher specimen to inspect those features. An alternative can share a broad role without having the same letter shapes, metrics or character coverage.
Try it in a real layout
Try a fictional device name across a wide label, with model specifications below in a quieter face. Retain enough side space for the expanded letters rather than forcing them into a narrow badge. Michroma and Syncopate provide separate wide technical comparisons here.
For independent comparisons, try Michroma and Syncopate. Use the same wording and approximate output size. The related style guide provides broader design context.
