Glamour Absolute: background and attribution
Nicky Laatz designed Glamour Absolute around a serif alphabet with both restrained and more vintage-looking alternate forms. The creator documents several 2022 updates, including character support and improvements to output. Its retro effect is partly a choice of glyphs rather than a separate historical font.

Forms, styles and what to inspect
Regular, Extended and Condensed provide three width treatments. OpenType alternates and ligatures change the decorative character. Older help text and newer package notes describe different alternate-file workflows, so follow the instructions included with the current release.
Use the original publisher specimen to inspect those features. An alternative can share a broad role without having the same letter shapes, metrics or character coverage.
Try it in a real layout
Compare a clean heading with a version using selected decorative letters. Add alternates one at a time and inspect their effect on spacing. Keep the narrower or broader width choice separate from decisions about flourishes and texture.
