Geometos: background and attribution

Graphite’s creator listing presents Geometos and directs readers to its expanded Geometos Neue family. Deepak Dogra’s later family account identifies Neue as a seven-weight geometric display design, with Geometos Max adding lowercase. These are related releases with different resources, so identify the edition before comparing a document or requesting a font file.

Read the publisher’s family page for the source account and the edition currently offered. Keep a family name distinct from its particular release, width or optical branch.

02

Forms, styles and what to inspect

The original listing offers a Geometos TTF resource. The later Neue family is all capitals and spans seven weights; those extra weights should not be assumed to exist in the original single file. Compare the original glyph sheet with the expanded-family specimen, particularly if a project requires mixed-case paragraphs.

Use the original publisher specimen to inspect those features. An alternative can share a broad role without having the same letter shapes, metrics or character coverage.

03

Try it in a real layout

Try a compact poster heading and a short packaging label. Check how repeated circular and straight forms space across the whole word. Keep long explanatory text in a separate reading face, and compare the output at its intended size rather than enlarging a small menu screenshot.

For independent comparisons, try Montserrat and Josefin Sans. Use the same wording and approximate output size. The related style guide provides broader design context.
