01

Gazzetta: background and attribution

Edwin Moreira designed Gazzetta, published by TipoType. The creator presents it as a condensed neo-grotesque display family, with softened curves, sharply joined strokes and a slight reverse-contrast effect in heavier resources.

Read the publisher’s family page for the source account and the edition currently offered. Keep a family name distinct from its particular release, width or optical branch.

02

Forms, styles and what to inspect

The publisher pairs eight weights with slanted companions and distinguishes alternate forms, figure options and decorative resources. A slanted style’s specific glyph substitutions should be checked in the actual family rather than assumed to match a browser-generated skew.

Use the original publisher specimen to inspect those features. An alternative can share a broad role without having the same letter shapes, metrics or character coverage.

03

Try it in a real layout

Try a short editorial headline and a longer title. Antonio and Roboto Condensed offer independently drawn narrow sans-serif comparisons. Inspect the bold joins and the amount of space inside the letters at the final output size.

For independent comparisons, try Antonio and Roboto Condensed. Use the same wording and approximate output size. The related style guide provides broader design context.
