Garet: background and attribution
Mirela Belova and Stan Partalev designed Garet for Type Forward. The publisher describes a geometric sans whose distinctive oval forms grow from circular geometry. Its store debut in 2022 is a catalog date, not independent proof of the original drawing date.
Read the publisher’s family page for the source account and the edition currently offered. Keep a family name distinct from its particular release, width or optical branch.
Forms, styles and what to inspect
The family account identifies a high x-height, weight and italic resources, a variable option and stylistic sets. Compare the actual edition’s numerals, punctuation and language resources. Closed counters and oval construction can affect a word’s texture differently from another geometric sans.
Use the original publisher specimen to inspect those features. An alternative can share a broad role without having the same letter shapes, metrics or character coverage.
Try it in a real layout
Try a product heading, a table entry and a longer description. Montserrat and Quicksand provide independent geometric-oriented comparisons. Keep the wording and output scale fixed while judging the proportions.
For independent comparisons, try Montserrat and Quicksand. Use the same wording and approximate output size. The related style guide provides broader design context.
