Record the actual resource and update notice
Vic Fieger’s Gang of Three resource identifies the supplied file as go3v2.ttf and labels it 100% Free. The archive records first appearance before 2005 and an update on September 12, 2008. Those are distinct listing events; do not turn the later update into an unsupported claim about the original design’s creation. Use the current resource’s own glyph view and package information when comparing an older document.
Inspect characters instead of assuming language support
Write the full intended heading as ordinary text, including accents, punctuation and numerals, then inspect those exact characters in the resource’s specimen. A visual category such as Chinese, Jpn does not demonstrate that a font contains a complete writing system or performs translation. For bilingual work, keep the approved wording in each language and choose the appropriate text resource for each line. Do not replace a missing written character with a superficially similar Latin letter.
Give the display lettering a defined role
Try one short heading above a conventionally typeset description. Judge the whole word and its smallest gaps at the intended output size before adding a border or background. Keep the description and contact information editable in their own styles so a decorative title does not control every line. The homepage’s copyable font variations serve a separate character-substitution task; they do not install Gang of Three or expand its glyph coverage. Follow the creator’s resource for the actual file.
Your questions, answered.
Does a catalog category prove complete Chinese or Japanese support?
No. Inspect the actual character inventory needed for the approved wording. A visual label is not a translation or coverage specification.
Is the 2008 notice necessarily the original creation date?
No. The resource labels it as an update and separately states an earlier first appearance.
