FF Mark: background and attribution
Hannes von Döhren, Christoph Koeberlin and the FontFont Type Department created FF Mark in 2013. The family has expanded into several resources, so selecting an edition is part of identifying the font.
Read the publisher’s family page for the source account and the edition currently offered. Keep a family name distinct from its particular release, width or optical branch.
Forms, styles and what to inspect
Inspect the weight and width branch alongside ligatures, alternate forms and figure options. FontFont distinguishes its W1G language resources; do not infer that every edition supplies the same Latin, Greek and Cyrillic coverage.
Use the original publisher specimen to inspect those features. An alternative can share a broad role without having the same letter shapes, metrics or character coverage.
Try it in a real layout
Compare a short brand heading and a paragraph using the same wording. Montserrat and Inter are independent sans-serif options with different proportions. Include numerals and accented words that your project actually needs.
For independent comparisons, try Montserrat and Inter. Use the same wording and approximate output size. The related style guide provides broader design context.
Official preview and font resources
Use FontFont on MyFonts to try the original and investigate the files, styles and terms for your intended workflow. This site does not distribute or serve FF Mark font software.
The editable alternatives here have their own source profiles and included licenses. For the difference between a font file and copied characters, read Unicode text versus fonts.
