Find the artwork resource rather than guessing a font
The ESRB publisher portal lists a download library alongside rating and advertising resources and explains its registration route for publishers. For IARC-rated games, the original December 2024 IARC guidelines link high-resolution vector icons and instruct users to preserve the provided shapes, colours and design. Those sources establish an artwork workflow, not an identified public font family for recreating the rating badge.
Keep the icon and its explanatory lines distinct
For a game-page layout using the appropriate supplied rating resource, reserve an area for the complete icon and another for the accompanying information. Align the text with the actual badge rather than with an enlarged typed letter used as a stand-in. If the layout is only an unfinished concept, label the rating area as a placeholder instead of treating a designer-selected letter as an assigned rating. Keep the real artwork separate from the editable page copy.
Proof the badge at the final layout size
Inspect the entire icon and adjacent text at the intended output dimensions. Avoid applying a heading’s decorative texture, angle or transparency to the badge just to match the page theme. Roboto and Source Sans 3 are independent comparisons for ordinary supporting text, not ESRB icon fonts. The copy-and-paste lettering generator creates Unicode substitutions; it does not issue ratings or reproduce approved icon artwork. Use the original resource appropriate to the game and rating system.
Your questions, answered.
Where does ESRB direct publishers for downloadable resources?
Its publisher portal lists a download library and explains the registration process for access to publisher services.
Can a matching capital letter replace the supplied rating icon?
A similar letter is not the complete icon artwork. IARC’s cited graphic instructions call for reproducing the provided icon without changing its design.
