01

Name the typeface and separate the logo credit

Turner Duckworth’s firsthand Crumbl case identifies Crumbl Sans as a customized variable typeface within the identity. It credits Kilotype for the typeface, Alec Tear for the logotype and BUCK for illustration. These are different design contributions. A font specimen therefore does not replace the brand’s finished wordmark artwork, and a third-party cookie-style font is not automatically the commissioned family.

02

Read the brand’s actual display and text roles

The official typography guide, version 2.0 updated November 2025, specifies one Display weight and Text in Light, Regular and Bold. It assigns Display to expressive headlines, Text Regular to body copy, Bold to subheads or functional headings, and Light to tertiary digital details. Its example settings use 100 percent leading for Display headlines and 120 percent for Text. The examples are a brand system, not a universal prescription for every bakery or screen. They show why a single headline font should not be indiscriminately applied to every line.

03

Plan a fallback document without pretending it is the custom face

The same official guide approves Inter Light, Regular and Bold when Crumbl Sans Text is unavailable, including in Google applications. That is an explicit fallback for the text role, not a claim that Inter duplicates Display or the logotype. For an original bake-sale exercise, set the item name, ingredients, pickup time and small-print note as four separate content levels. Compare their clarity in a narrow phone layout and a printed handout before adding illustration. The Inter specimen below is the genuine independent Inter family; it does not distribute Crumbl Sans. The homepage Unicode text transformations change characters rather than installing either family.

GOOD QUESTIONS

Your questions, answered.

What font does the documented Crumbl identity use?

Crumbl Sans is the custom family. Turner Duckworth credits Kilotype for the typeface and Alec Tear separately for the logotype.

Is Inter officially mentioned as a fallback?

Yes. The November 2025 typography guide approves Inter Light, Regular and Bold where Crumbl Sans Text is unavailable. This does not make Inter the custom Display face.
