Use the Cloud editor’s available size control
Atlassian’s May 2026 Cloud release notes document selecting text, opening the toolbar’s Text size menu and choosing Small. The notice labels the feature as rolling out. Use the controls present in your own instance rather than relying on an older answer stating that no smaller-text option exists.
Keep small text purposeful
Use a smaller treatment for supporting details only when the result remains comfortable to read. A dense comparison table and a long explanatory paragraph create different reading demands. Maintain clear headings and concise labels instead of reducing the size of every block to fit more material on one screen.
Treat Data Center styling as a different workflow
Atlassian’s Data Center guide documents Space tools > Look and Feel > Stylesheet > Edit for custom CSS. It also states that system administrators control stylesheet access by default. Those instructions should not be presented as the ordinary Cloud editor’s font-size menu.
Specify the scope in a team request
Record whether the request concerns one passage, an entire space or only your own viewing comfort. Include Cloud or Data Center and the editor involved. For the CSS concepts behind an authorized stylesheet change, use the CSS font-size guide, while preserving the product’s documented permission model.
