A screenshot from one year can differ from a later X interface, and an uploaded image can contain any typeface chosen by its author. Establish whether the question concerns interface text, a promotional composition or the logo. Keep the product, platform and screenshot date with the reference.

What the 2021 announcement documents
Twitter’s Imperfect, by Design announcement credits Switzerland’s Grilli Type as its collaborator on Chirp, presented as its first proprietary typeface. It describes American Gothic and European grotesque references and handmade details influenced by early woodcut specimens. The typography sits within a larger identity using layered imagery, texture and torn edges.
These are the company’s documented design intentions. The announcement is a historical project account, not an interactive font specimen or a font-file download service.
Compare short-form writing with independent specimens
Use a short post, a display name and a line with links or numerals in each specimen. Include a longer conversational paragraph so a strong large word does not decide the whole interface choice. Keep the wording and available width equal, then compare line breaks, punctuation and the visibility of small numbers.
Inter, Source Sans 3 and Manrope are independent designs, not Chirp files. They let you explore your own interface text without claiming identical outlines, metrics or coverage. Keep a clear hierarchy between the name, message and practical labels.
Give an expressive campaign a calm information layer
For an original campaign card, keep a small set of typographic roles stable while photographs or background textures change. Make one version with a plain background before introducing torn edges or other decoration. Judge the date and action line independently from the headline.
