Begin with accurate Chinese text
A font changes the visible drawing of supported characters. It does not translate an English name or determine which wording suits a message. Obtain accurate text first, including the required simplified or traditional forms. Preserve those characters when comparing typefaces rather than replacing unfamiliar signs with visually similar symbols.
Check the regional context
Unicode’s CJK FAQ describes distinct conventions for traditional Chinese, simplified Chinese, Japanese and Korean character shapes. For a Chinese-language layout, choose a resource appropriate to the intended readers and text. Shared character encoding does not require every regional font to draw the same glyph. Identify the actual package and language setting when a character’s appearance seems unexpected.
Use a documented family rather than a style label
Adobe’s Source Han Sans is an identifiable Pan-CJK project with official documentation and releases. Use that documentation to select the resource you need. Calligraphy, a restaurant identity and a body paragraph are separate design briefs. A Latin font marketed with an East Asian visual theme is not a replacement for Chinese character coverage.
Inspect the full passage and final medium
Compare the title, body wording, names, numbers and punctuation in the application producing the final result. Check whether one character unexpectedly changes style through fallback. For a short graphic, allow space around complex forms instead of shrinking everything to fit. For a long text, choose a stable reading hierarchy. Continue with the font-file guide for installation and the Japanese guide for the related regional distinction.
Your questions, answered.
Does a Chinese font generator choose the correct translation?
No. Establish the wording separately, then select a font that supports it.
Is Chinese Rocks a Chinese-language font?
Do not infer script coverage from a name. The separately documented Chinese Rocks family serves a different display-lettering task.
