Bon Vivant: background and attribution
Bon Vivant is Nicky Laatz’s coordinated font collection, combining a script with regular and bold serif resources. The creator presents the two styles together rather than describing them as one interchangeable outline. Bonus graphics bundled with a package are separate assets from the font resources themselves.
Read the publisher’s family page for the source account and the edition currently offered. Keep a family name distinct from its particular release, width or optical branch.
Forms, styles and what to inspect
The script is offered in conventional OpenType and bitmap OpenType SVG forms, with ligatures intended to vary letter connections. The creator identifies different software requirements for the SVG resource and limits that version to English. Check the ordinary resource separately when you need broader language coverage.
Use the original publisher specimen to inspect those features. An alternative can share a broad role without having the same letter shapes, metrics or character coverage.
Try it in a real layout
Compare a script name over a restrained serif heading, then try the roles without overlap. Keep enough space for the script to remain readable and judge the result at final size. Choose a supported resource before relying on the textured appearance shown in a promotional image.
For independent comparisons, try Playfair Display and Allison. Use the same wording and approximate output size. The related style guide provides broader design context.
